May Day: PDP commends Nigerian workers Effort

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has issued a message to commemorate Workers’ Day, expressing admiration for the resilience, loyalty, and patriotism of Nigerian workers who have served their country despite the sufferings imposed by the All Progressives Congress administration over the last eight years.

In the message, PDP National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Debo Ologunagba, urged workers to resist anti-democratic forces seeking to take control of Nigeria, commending their strength and pivotal position in protecting the nation’s constitutional democracy from political manipulators.

The PDP further acknowledged the hurt felt by workers over the outcome of the February 25, 2023 Presidential election, characterised by multiple violations, manipulations, alteration of genuine election results, and brazen subversion of the will of the people.

Nonetheless, the PDP encouraged workers and all citizens not to lose hope, but to remain optimistic that the judiciary would right the wrongs and lead Nigeria back to the path of peace, political stability, and economic prosperity.

The PDP issued a message to mark Workers’ Day, which is a global occasion to honour and appreciate workers’ contributions. The PDP also called on Nigerian workers to resist anti-democratic forces and protect the nation’s constitutional democracy from political manipulators.

Despite the disappointment felt by workers over the outcome of the February 25, 2023 Presidential election, the PDP urged workers and all citizens to maintain hope and faith that the judiciary will correct the injustices and lead Nigeria towards peace, political stability, and economic prosperity.
