Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to President Muhammadu Buhari, has stated that the Nigerian Government is taking steps to guarantee the security of its citizens in Sudan.
According to Shehu’s tweet, the Nigerian government is working closely with the Embassy in Khartoum, as well as the governments of Sudan and Ethiopia, to ensure the safety of the significant number of Nigerians living in Sudan.
The efforts are being coordinated by Minister Geoffrey Onyeama, who is optimistic about moving people to safety soon. The Minister will further explain these efforts on Channels TV this evening.
